这边厢，一场浪漫的婚礼让寅次郎（渥美清 饰）的终身大事再度成为了家人们关注的话题，每个人都希望善良的寅次郎能够收获幸福。那边厢，远在北海道的寅次郎邂逅了名叫伊美（桃井薰 饰）的女子，伊美遭到了坏人的骚扰，也是寅次郎挺身而出，帮助伊美赶走了坏人。 很快，伊美和寅次郎之间就建立起了真挚的友谊，伊美告诉寅次郎，自己即将和未婚夫携手步入婚姻的殿堂，但在这个节骨眼上，她却开始怀疑起了自己对这个即将携手共度一生的男人的感情。即将举办的婚礼并没有带给伊美任何的喜悦，反而令她倍感压力。伊美来到了寅次郎家，在寅次郎家人们的安慰和陪伴之下，她内心的焦躁渐渐得到了抚平。
